February: Nevada Northern Railway

While driving to or from Ely, NV for the Nevada Northern Railway I spend quite a few hours on Highway 50 (The "Loneliest Road in America"). The highway goes up and over several mountain ranges with high desert in between each range. The clouds and mountains interact in all sorts of amazing ways. It's very hard not to stop every few minutes to take photos but there are some scenes that can't be ignored. I've captured a few of those for this gallery. Images from my 2019 trip can be seen here.
