This is the path we took while chasing Union Pacific 4014 in a helicopter. The loops over Union Station are us orbiting the train during the hour it took to finally depart the station.
I arrived just before 7am in South Amana, IA for what was supposed to be a 7:30 departure from the yard just west of here. This is the sunrise shot from inside my car. The train didn't depart unil about 8:45am.
